Why I Volunteer: Phil Nix, PA-C, MPAS, CAQ-EM
Phil Nix, PA-C, MPAS, CAQ-EM, is a Board Certified PA who practices in the emergency department at South Miami Hospital. We wanted to know more about his experience and why he recommends his colleagues volunteer with NCCPA.
Tell us a bit about you and about your current role.
I am a Board Certified PA who currently works full time in the emergency department at South Miami Hospital part of Baptist Health of South Florida. I have worked my entire career in the emergency medicine setting. I serve as a preceptor for local PA students and recently started lecturing for the PA program at Florida International University.

Saint Louis University, class of 1983.
